Judge Owen was a potential Supreme Court nominee when President Bush was in office. She was supposed ot replace Judge Sandra Day O'Connor, but John Roberts was nominted instead. She has an abundance of qualifications as she was a Justice on the
Texas Supreme Court and became a federal judge in 2005. Due to her conservative views, we feel that she will be a compatible Supreme Court Judge, and one that supports many of our causes. Because she has plenty of experience, and a history of potential nomination, we say her likelihood in the Senate approval and being placed on the Court is rather high, as well. She was rated "Well Qualified" by the American Bar Association when she was being nominated to be on the 5th Circuit so her qualifications and experience really push her forward. Besides that, she does have a reputation of being almost "too" conservative, but we really value her traditional views. We think we'd work well with her, and support her dedication to her work.

The rationale behind William "Bill" Pryor's nomination is rather simple. It all comes down to experience, judicial standing, and conservation. Judge Pryor has an exemplary resume full of experience with law. He was once the youngest state attorney general in the United States, and has been re-elected several times with high approval ratings. He has proven himself substantially, and was most recenty appointed the US Sentencing Commissioner by President Obama despite the fact that they support different political parties. He is ranked highly as an 11th Circuit Judge, and seems to have a good reputation in the judiciary. Overall, we say his likelihood in Senate approval and being placed on the Court is rather high. Though he might be a bit young, he appears to have sufficient experience, and could be a very valuable asset in the Supreme Court.
Judge McConnell was appointed Federal Judge in the 10th Circuit in 2002 by unanimous voice vote. He has been a potential nominee for the Supreme Court when President Bush was in office, and was mentioned as a possible nominee during the John McCain or Mitt Romney presidency. After completing his law degree at the University of Chicago, he served as a judge, but now he is a Director of the Stanford Constitutional Law Center at Stanford Law School. He is highly respected for his conservatism, and carries a reputation that embodies an importance in the church. For these reasons, we feel that McConnell would be a deserving and qualified nominee.
